Wednesday, April 18, you're invited to the second event of the 2012 G.L.I.P. After-Hours Networking Series. The event will include international hors d’oeuvres, cash bars, and premier networking with more than 200 international professionals from the region.
G.L.I.P. is proud to announce that the keynote address will be given by one of Louisville's most successful entrepreneurs in the healthcare industry, Cedric Francois, originally from Belgium and now proud Louisvillian.
Dr. Francois received his medical degree from the University of Leuven in Belgium and his Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Louisville. Following postgraduate training, Dr. Francois was a member of the research team that performed the first successful hand transplantation in the United States, whose work supported the first-ever human face transplantation in France in 2005. He is an inventor of many biotechnology patent applications, including all of Potentia's and Apellis' proprietary patent applications, and has published over 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers, and has won numerous awards, including Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist Award in 2010 (Full biography)
